Dre'Kevious Gibbs

Youth Pastor

Dre’Kevious D. Gibbs is the son of Kimberly Fortson and Andre Gibbs. Born in Elberton, Georgia, Dre'Kevious Gibbs began inspiring the lives of others at the young age of 14. He rekindled a dwindling youth population at Carlton Grove Baptist Church before moving to New Hampton Baptist Church. Dre'Kevious Gibbs trained himself in leadership roles by joining 13 clubs his junior and senior years of high school and took on leadership roles in 9 of them. He went on to attend Morehouse College and joined several organizations including student government his Freshman and Sophomore years. Dre'Kevious served as Chief of Staff to the Freshman Class President, Class Vice President his sophomore. Dre'Kevious has a passion for the success of others and is a firm believer that numbers do not define who a person is. Dre'Kevious believes that a person's drive, motivation, and personality define them. Dre'Kevious served as the President of the Morehouse Student Athletic Engagement Committee and advocated for all athletes of Morehouse College. Dre'Kevious was able to move Morehouse's sporting attendance from number eleven in the region to number three! Dre'Kevious speaks at high schools, churches, and community events promoting the importance of higher education and chasing your dreams. His support in the community has inspired youth near and far. Dre'Kevious is currently the president of The Morehouse Chapter of National Action Network under the direction of Rev. Al Sharpton. Gibbs is employed by the Atlanta Public Schools as an after school teacher at Thomasville Heights Elementary School and is currently the youth pastor of New Hampton Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Tommie Robinson.
